Shrimp and Crab Bisque – A Comforting Recipe for Stay-at-Home Parents

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons olive oil
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup white wine
2 tablespoons tomato paste
2 pounds shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 pound crabmeat
3 cups chicken stock
1 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:

1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the white wine and tomato paste and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 10 minutes until thickened slightly.

2. Add the shrimp, crabmeat, chicken stock, heavy cream, smoked paprika, and thyme leaves to the pot. Bring to a simmer over medium-high heat and cook for 8-10 minutes until the shrimp are cooked through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
