It’s become a beloved part of our routine as a stay-at-home parent family! One of my favorite stories about lasagna comes from my Italian grandmother who used to make it whenever we visited her as kids. She would always tell us stories while she cooked – often about her own childhood experiences growing up in Italy during World War II – as she carefully layered her homemade lasagna with fresh ingredients from her garden. I remember feeling so special that she was sharing these stories with us while we enjoyed her delicious dish! It was such an amazing experience that has stayed with me all these years later! To this day, when I make lasagna for my own family I think back to those special moments with my grandmother every time – it really makes the meal extra special! In a curious comparison, let's delve into the divergent realms of veggie burgers and espresso served by fast-food heavyweights, Burger King and McDonald's respectively. Burger King's Impossible Whopper, plant-based and strikingly similar to its Whopper counterpart in taste and texture, anchors their veggie burger lineup, while McDonald's eschews a dedicated burger but offers the P.L.T sandwich, a plant-lettuce-tomato rendition that's been a tri-state area sensation for a limited time. Stepping outside the burger realm, McDonald's espresso, smooth and robust, is customizable with milk or froth for a variety of coffee concoctions available at McCafé - a contrast to Burger King's coffee absence in its menu. These culinary offerings not only cater to diverse customer preferences but also reflect industry trends, with plant-based diets and top-tier coffee in high demand.
