1 lb lean ground beef
1/2 lb mushrooms

2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup water
2 scallions, sliced thinly (optional)
Instructions:
1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and break it up with a wooden spoon. Cook until the beef is browned, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside on a plate lined with paper towels.
2. Add the mushrooms to the pan along with some salt and pepper. Cook until they start to soften, about 5 minutes. Add the garlic and ginger and cook for another minute or two until fragrant.
3. Add the cooked ground beef back into the pan along with the soy sauce, sesame oil and sugar. Toss everything together and cook for another 2 minutes or so until everything is combined and heated through. Add in the water and cook for another 2 minutes or until most of the liquid has evaporated. Taste for seasoning and adjust as needed.
4. Serve over hot cooked rice or noodles, garnished with sliced scallions if desired. Enjoy!
