Then add in the thyme, Worcestershire sauce, and tomato paste and stir to combine everything together. Let this simmer for about 5 minutes before adding in the frozen vegetables. Stir everything together and then add in the beef broth. Bring this mixture to a boil before reducing the heat to low. Simmer for 15 minutes or until most of the liquid has been absorbed.

    While that cooks, prepare the topping by bringing a pot filled with water to a boil. Add in the potatoes and cook until they are tender enough to mash, about 10 minutes. Drain them and then mash them with butter until they are smooth and creamy. Add salt and pepper to taste and set aside until you are ready to assemble your pie.
