As a stay at home parent, I know how important it is to have quick, tasty meals that you can whip up in no time. Not only does it require minimal ingredients, but it also comes together in just under half an hour. Plus, the leftovers make for an excellent sandwich the next day!
This recipe is inspired by one of my fondest childhood memories. Growing up, my father was the king of the grill. Every Saturday we would gather around the barbeque and wait as he cooked us up some delicious steaks. He would always top them with a generous helping of his homemade chimichurri sauce. The mix of herbs and garlic was always the perfect compliment to the tender steak and smoky char from the grill. To this day, I still find myself missing his cooking every time I make this dish.
Now that I am a stay at home parent, I’ve taken it upon myself to recreate those flavours in a way that can be done quickly and easily on a weeknight. Grilled steak with chimichurri sauce has become a staple in our house because it’s both delicious and requires minimal effort.
