“Learn How to Make Delicious Fried Wontons with Sweet Chili Sauce from Home – The Perfect Stay-at-Home Parent Recipe!”
Fried Wontons with Sweet Chili Sauce
As a stay at home parent, there is nothing better than being able to make delicious meals for my family. One of our favorite recipes is Fried Wontons with Sweet Chili Sauce. This dish is not only delicious but also extremely easy to make. The ingredients list is simple and the prep time is minimal, making it the perfect meal for busy evenings.
To start off, you will need 1 package of wonton wrappers, 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil, and 6 tablespoons of sweet chili sauce. In a medium bowl, mix together 2 cups of shredded cooked chicken (or pork), 1/2 cup of shredded carrots, 1/4 cup of green onions, and 2 tablespoons of soy sauce. Next, lay out one wonton wrapper with a small bowl of water nearby. Dip your finger in the water and lightly wet the edges of the wonton wrapper. Place about 1 tablespoon of the chicken mixture in the center of the wrapper and fold it in half to form a triangle shape. Pinch the edges together to make sure it’s sealed.
Heat up a large skillet over medium heat and add the vegetable oil. Once hot, carefully place the wontons in the skillet and let them fry for about two minutes until golden brown. Flip them over and fry for another two minutes until both sides are golden brown and crispy. Remove from heat and transfer onto a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
For the sweet chili sauce, mix together 6 tablespoons of sweet chili sauce, 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar, 1 tablespoon of honey, and 1 teaspoon of sesame oil in a small bowl until combined. Serve with your fried wontons as dipping sauce or drizzled over top for extra flavor.

Plus, it’s a great way to get my kids involved in cooking as they love helping out in the kitchen! It’s definitely become one of our favorite recipes that we come back to time and time again!
