Grilled Sirloin with Red Wine and Herb Marinade
As a stay at home parent, I know the importance of a delicious, nutritious meal for my family. That’s why I love to make this flavorful grilled sirloin with red wine and herb marinade. It’s a simple yet scrumptious dish that pairs perfectly with any side dish. Plus, the marinade really adds a unique taste that can’t be beaten!
To start, gather the following ingredients: 2 pounds of sirloin steak, ¼ cup of red wine, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of dried oregano, ½ teaspoon of salt, and ½ teaspoon of ground black pepper.
Next, prepare the marinade. In a medium bowl, mix together the red wine, olive oil, parsley, garlic powder, oregano, salt and pepper. Once everything is combined well, pour the marinade into a large plastic bag. Add the sirloin steak to the bag and make sure it is completely coated with the marinade. Place in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours (or overnight for best results).
When you’re ready to cook the steak, preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Remove the sirloin steak from the marinade and pat dry with paper towels. Grill for approximately 5 minutes per side or until desired doneness is achieved. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving with your favorite sides.
This grilled sirloin with red wine and herb marinade is always a hit in my house! My daughter loves it because she loves anything “grilled” and my son loves it because he loves “red wine”! I love it because it’s so easy to make yet so incredibly flavorful. Plus I always have all the ingredients on hand so it’s perfect for those nights when time is limited but you still want something special for dinner.

“Upgrade Your Stay-At-Home Parenting With This Delicious Beef Teriyaki Recipe!”
Beef Teriyaki Recipe for the Stay at Home Parent
As a stay-at-home parent, there are times when it feels like you are in a never-ending cycle of cooking, cleaning and taking care of your family. I know this all too well, as I have been a stay-at-home parent for the past eight years. One of my favorite recipes to make during those hectic times is beef teriyaki. Not only is it quick and easy to make, but it is also delicious and nutritious. This recipe requires just a few simple ingredients, and can be prepped and cooked in under an hour.
Ingredients:
• 1 lb of flank steak
• 1/2 cup of soy sauce
• 1/4 cup of honey
• 2 tablespoons of sesame oil
• 2 cloves of minced garlic
• 1 teaspoon of freshly grated ginger
• 2 tablespoons of cornstarch or arrowroot powder
• 2 tablespoons of water
• Salt and pepper to tasteInstructions:
1. Begin by slicing the flank steak into thin strips. Place the strips into a bowl and season them with salt and pepper.
2. In a separate bowl, mix together the soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger until everything is evenly distributed. Set aside.
3. Heat up a large skillet over medium-high heat and add in the seasoned steak strips. Cook for about 4 minutes on each side or until they are cooked through.
4. Pour the teriyaki sauce over the steak strips and reduce the heat to low. Simmer for about 5 minutes or until the sauce has thickened and coated the steak strips evenly. Remove from heat and set aside.
5. In a small bowl, mix together the cornstarch or arrowroot powder with two tablespoons of water until everything is evenly combined. Pour this mixture into the skillet with the teriyaki sauce and stir quickly to avoid lumps from forming. Simmer for another 5 minutes or until the sauce has thickened even more. Remove from heat and serve over white rice or noodles with a side of steamed vegetables if desired. My family loves this recipe for its delicious flavor and quick cooking time; it’s truly one of our favorites! When I make beef teriyaki for dinner, my kids always get excited about what I’ve cooked up for them that night – even though it’s something they’ve probably had before! The smell of sesame oil mixed with garlic fills our home with an amazing aroma that always has them asking me to make it again soon! Plus, I love that I can get dinner on the table in no time while still making something that tastes like it took all day to prepare! That’s why beef teriyaki will always be one of our go-to meals in our home!
