“Luscious Shrimp Bisque: A Stay-At-Home Parent’s Dream Recipe!”
Shrimp Bisque with Cream: A Comforting Recipe for Stay-at-Home Parents
As a stay-at-home parent, I know how important it is to have a few easy and comforting recipes in your repertoire that you can whip up quickly and enjoy with your family. One of our favorite comfort foods is shrimp bisque with cream. This indulgent soup is sure to please everyone at the table, and it’s easy enough to make on a busy weeknight.
The ingredients are simple and straightforward. You’ll need butter, onions, celery, garlic, white wine, shrimp stock (or chicken stock if you don’t have shrimp stock), tomato paste, heavy cream, cooked shrimp, salt, and pepper. To make the dish extra special, I love to add a pinch of saffron for a subtle flavor.
To begin, melt the butter in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add the onions and celery and sauté until softened (about 5 minutes). Then add the garlic and sauté for two minutes more. Pour in the white wine and use a wooden spoon to scrape up any brown bits from the bottom of the pan. Add the shrimp stock and tomato paste and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce heat to low and let simmer for 10 minutes.
Next, add the heavy cream and cooked shrimp to the pot. Simmer on low heat for another 10 minutes until everything is nice and hot. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Finally, stir in a pinch of saffron (optional). This will give the bisque an extra layer of flavor that is just divine!
When it’s time to serve, ladle out generous servings into shallow bowls or cups and garnish with some fresh parsley or chives if desired. Trust me when I say that this bisque will become an instant family favorite! It has all of the warmth of home-cooked comfort food but is still light enough to enjoy year-round.
Whenever I make this dish for my family, I always think back on my childhood days when my mom would make us all her famous shrimp bisque with cream. Every bite was like a trip down memory lane—warmth and happiness in every spoonful! That’s why I’m so passionate about sharing this recipe with all of you other stay-at-home parents out there—so that you can create your own special memories around your dinner table tonight!

This recipe is very simple to make and only requires a few ingredients. You will need two cups of cooked white rice, one tablespoon of vegetable oil, one onion, two cloves of garlic, one cup of frozen shrimp, one cup of diced pineapple, two tablespoons of soy sauce, one teaspoon of sesame oil, and salt and pepper to taste. All you have to do is heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the onion and garlic and cook until they are softened. Then add the shrimp and cook until they are opaque. Add the pineapple and rice, stirring to combine everything. Lastly add the soy sauce, sesame oil, salt and pepper and cook for another few minutes until everything is heated through.

“Cook Up a Storm With This Delicious Shrimp and Veggie Dumpling Recipe!”
Shrimp and Vegetable Dumplings in Spicy Sauce: A Stay-At-Home Parent’s Dream Dinner
As a stay-at-home parent, getting dinner on the table can be a challenge. You want something that’s nutritious, delicious, and quick to make. One of my favorite go-to recipes is Shrimp and Vegetable Dumplings in Spicy Sauce. This dish is packed with protein, is easy to make, and has just the right amount of kick to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters.
The first step in making this dish is to combine the ingredients for the dumpling filling. This includes one pound of raw shrimp, diced carrots and zucchini, chopped scallions, minced garlic, and diced ginger. These ingredients are combined with one egg white, ¼ cup of tamari sauce, 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, and ½ teaspoon of ground black pepper. Once everything is mixed together, it should be refrigerated until you’re ready to assemble the dumplings.
Next, it’s time to assemble the dumplings. I like to use round wonton wrappers for this part. To assemble them I place a teaspoon of filling in the center of each wrapper before folding it into a triangle shape and sealing the edges with a bit of water. Once all of my dumplings are assembled, I steam them for about 12 minutes or until they’re cooked through.
Now that the dumplings are ready it’s time to make the sauce. For this I combine ¼ cup of vegetable broth with 2 tablespoons soy sauce and 2 tablespoons rice vinegar in a small saucepan. I bring this mixture to a boil before adding 1 tablespoon of red pepper flakes and 1 teaspoon of sugar. Once everything is combined I reduce the heat and let the sauce simmer for about 10 minutes or until it has thickened.
Once the sauce is done it’s time to serve! I like to plate my Shrimp and Vegetable Dumplings in Spicy Sauce with some steamed rice or quinoa on the side and top them with some chopped scallions for a bit more flavor and color.
My kids love this dish because it has just enough kick without being too spicy (although you can always add more red pepper flakes if you like your food spicier). As a stay-at-home parent this dinner is a great way to get something delicious on the table without having to spend too much time in the kitchen – which leaves me more time to spend with my family!
Ingredients:
•1 lb raw shrimp (peeled and deveined)
