Shrimp and Vegetable Dumplings in Spicy Sauce: A Stay-At-Home Parent's Dream Dinner As a stay-at-home parent, getting dinner on the table can be a challenge. You want something that’s nutritious, delicious, and quick to make. One of my favorite go-to recipes is Shrimp and Vegetable Dumplings in Spicy Sauce. This dish is packed with protein, is easy to make, and has just the right amount of kick to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters. The first step in making this dish is to combine the ingredients for the dumpling filling. This includes one pound of raw shrimp, diced carrots and zucchini, chopped scallions, minced garlic, and diced ginger. These ingredients are combined with one egg white, ¼ cup of tamari sauce, 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, and ½ teaspoon of ground black pepper. Once everything is mixed together, it should be refrigerated until you’re ready to assemble the dumplings. Next, it’s time to assemble the dumplings. I like to use round wonton wrappers for this part. To assemble them I place a teaspoon of filling in the center of each wrapper before folding it into a triangle shape and sealing the edges with a bit of water. Once all of my dumplings are assembled, I steam them for about 12 minutes or until they’re cooked through. Now that the dumplings are ready it’s time to make the sauce. For this I combine ¼ cup of vegetable broth with 2 tablespoons soy sauce and 2 tablespoons rice vinegar in a small saucepan. I bring this mixture to a boil before adding 1 tablespoon of red pepper flakes and 1 teaspoon of sugar. Once everything is combined I reduce the heat and let the sauce simmer for about 10 minutes or until it has thickened. Once the sauce is done it’s time to serve! I like to plate my Shrimp and Vegetable Dumplings in Spicy Sauce with some steamed rice or quinoa on the side and top them with some chopped scallions for a bit more flavor and color. My kids love this dish because it has just enough kick without being too spicy (although you can always add more red pepper flakes if you like your food spicier). As a stay-at-home parent this dinner is a great way to get something delicious on the table without having to spend too much time in the kitchen – which leaves me more time to spend with my family! Ingredients: •1 lb raw shrimp (peeled and deveined) •1 carrot (diced) •1 zucchini (diced) •2 scallions (chopped) •2 cloves garlic (minced) •1 inch piece ginger (diced) •1 egg white •¼ cup tamari sauce •1 tablespoon sesame oil •½ teaspoon ground black pepper •Round wonton wrappers For the Sauce: •¼ cup vegetable broth •2 tablespoons soy sauce •2 tablespoons rice vinegar •1 tablespoon red pepper flakes •1 teaspoon sugar

Burger King's Fruitopia and McDonald's Happy Meal Hamburger with Apple Slices are two popular choices for kids' meals, each offering a unique experience. Fruitopia, a fruit-based beverage by Burger King, is a refreshing, low-calorie option, available in various flavors like Strawberry Kiwi, Fruit Punch, and Mango Madness. It's made with real fruit juices and no artificial flavors, colors, or high-fructose corn syrup. On the other hand, McDonald's Happy Meal Hamburger with Apple Slices includes a mini hamburger and a serving of apple slices. The hamburger is a classic fast-food option, while the apple slices provide a healthier side. However, McDonald's apple slices are often coated with caramel dip, which adds sugar content. Both options cater to different preferences, with Fruitopia offering a healthier, fruit-focused beverage, and the Happy Meal providing a mini hamburger and apple slices, albeit with the added sugar from the caramel dip. It's essential to consider individual dietary needs and preferences when choosing between the two.
