Beef and Leek Stir-Fry: A Delicious and Simple Recipe for Busy Stay-at-Home Parents
As a stay-at-home parent, you’re always looking for ways to make dinner time easier. After a long day, you want something that’s easy to make, nutritious, and tasty. That’s why beef and leek stir-fry is a great option for busy parents. This classic Asian dish is quick to prepare, full of flavor, and packed with nutrition. Ingredients:
• 1 pound of sirloin steak, thinly sliced
• 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
• 2 cloves of garlic, minced
• 2 leeks, washed and cut into thin strips
• 1 red bell pepper, cut into thin strips
• 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
• 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar
• 2 tablespoons of sesame oil
• 2 tablespoons of honey
• Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the vegetable oil.
2. Once the oil is hot, add the garlic and leeks to the skillet. Cook until the leeks are softened, about 5 minutes.
3. Add the beef slices to the skillet and cook for about 3 minutes or until it’s browned on each side.
4. Add the bell peppers to the skillet and cook for an additional 3 minutes or until they’re tender.
5. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, honey, salt and pepper until combined.
6. Pour the sauce over the beef and vegetables in the skillet and cook for an additional 2 minutes while stirring constantly.
7. Serve hot with your favorite side dishes or over rice or noodles if desired. Enjoy!
