    Fried Fish with Remoulade Sauce – A Delicious Recipe That Will Satisfy Any Fish Lover

    As a stay-at-home parent, I am always looking for recipes that are easy to make, delicious, and will satisfy my family’s taste buds. Fried fish with remoulade sauce is one of those recipes. Not only is it simple to make, but it’s also packed full of flavor. The combination of crispy fried fish and the creamy remoulade sauce is truly a match made in heaven. Ingredients:

    For the Fried Fish:
    * 4 (6-ounce) white fish fillets
    * 2 cups all-purpose flour
    * 2 teaspoons garlic powder
    * 1 teaspoon onion powder
    * 1 teaspoon paprika
    * 1 teaspoon salt
    * 1 teaspoon pepper
    * 1 cup vegetable oil for frying
    For the Remoulade Sauce:
    * ¾ cup mayonnaise
    * 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
    * 2 tablespoons Creole mustard
    * 1 tablespoon lemon juice
    * 1 tablespoon minced garlic
    * 2 tablespoons chopped dill pickles
    * 2 tablespoons chopped parsley leaves

    Directions:

    1. Begin by preparing the remoulade sauce. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Creole mustard, lemon juice, garlic, dill pickles, and parsley leaves until combined. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
    2. In a shallow bowl or pie plate, combine the flour with the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt and pepper. Mix together until well combined.
    3. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Dip each fish fillet into the flour mixture and coat both sides evenly. Carefully place the fish into the hot oil and cook until golden brown on each side and cooked through (about 3-4 minutes per side). Remove from oil and place onto a paper towel lined plate to drain off any excess oil. Repeat with remaining fillets.
    4. Serve the fried fish with a generous drizzle of remoulade sauce over top and enjoy!

    My Story about Fried Fish with Remoulade Sauce:

    I have been making this fried fish recipe for years now – ever since I was a kid growing up in Louisiana. Every summer my family would go fishing on Lake Pontchartrain and every time we caught some fish we would fry it up for dinner with our homemade remoulade sauce – it was always so delicious! While I’ve moved away from Louisiana now, I still make this fried fish recipe regularly as it brings back fond memories of my childhood spent fishing with my family on Lake Pontchartrain enjoying life’s simple pleasures like good food and good company!

    Grilled Shrimp with BBQ Sauce

    As a stay-at-home parent, I love finding ways to make mealtime fun and exciting, while still making sure my family is getting all the nutrition they need. One of our all-time favorite meals is Grilled Shrimp with BBQ Sauce. It’s a quick and easy dish that can be whipped up in no time, and the combination of flavors will have your family begging for more.

    To get started, you’ll need the following ingredients for the shrimp: one pound of peeled and deveined shrimp, two tablespoons of olive oil, two tablespoons of garlic powder, one tablespoon of paprika, one teaspoon of onion powder, one teaspoon of cumin, one teaspoon of dried oregano, half a teaspoon of salt and pepper each. For the BBQ sauce you’ll need: one cup of your favorite BBQ sauce, two tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce and two tablespoons of honey.

    Start by preheating your grill to medium-high heat. In a large bowl, combine the olive oil and all of the spices listed above. Add the shrimp to the bowl and mix everything together until all the shrimp are evenly coated in the spice mixture. Place the shrimp on skewers and grill them for approximately three minutes per side or until they are cooked through.

    While your shrimp are grilling, mix together the ingredients for your BBQ sauce in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook for about five minutes stirring occasionally until it starts to bubble. Once your shrimp are finished cooking on the grill, brush them with your homemade BBQ sauce and let them cook for an additional minute or two until they are nicely glazed. Serve hot with extra BBQ sauce on the side.

    My family loves this Grilled Shrimp with BBQ Sauce recipe because it’s full of flavor and takes almost no time at all to make! Plus, it’s a great way to get some protein into our diet without having to spend hours slaving away in the kitchen. This dish is perfect for busy weeknights when you don’t have much time to cook but still want something delicious to eat!

    We have a lot of fun making this dish together as a family. My daughter loves helping me put together the spice mixture for the shrimp while my husband takes care of grilling them up on the barbecue. It’s such a great way to bond over food that everyone enjoys!

    So if you’re looking for an easy but delicious meal that won’t take up too much time in your already busy day as a stay-at-home parent, look no further than Grilled Shrimp with BBQ Sauce! Your family will thank you for it!

    Cajun Shrimp and Grits – A Story About Comfort Food

    As a stay-at-home parent, I’m always looking for new recipes that can easily be adapted to my family’s tastes. Recently, I’ve been on the hunt for something new and exciting to try in my kitchen. That’s when I stumbled across a recipe for Cajun shrimp and grits. This savory dish has quickly become a favorite in our home.

    The origin of Cajun shrimp and grits is often attributed to the African-American culture in the Southern United States, particularly in Louisiana. It’s believed that this dish originated as a simple way to feed the large families who lived in the area. The combination of shrimp, grits and flavorful Cajun spices has been a classic comfort food for generations.

    When making Cajun shrimp and grits at home, the key is to use freshly prepared ingredients. The most important component of this dish is the use of high-quality shrimp. For this recipe, I like to use medium-sized wild-caught shrimp that have been peeled and deveined. The next step is to make the creamy grits using butter, milk, and cheese. This can be cooked on the stove top or even in the microwave for a quick meal.

    Once your ingredients are prepped, it’s time to season them with your favorite Cajun spices. I use a combination of garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, oregano, thyme, and black pepper to give my dish a spicy kick. You can adjust the amount of spices according to your desired level of heat. Once all your ingredients are prepped and seasoned, it’s time to get cooking!

    To make this dish, simply heat some oil in a skillet over medium heat and add your seasoned shrimp. Allow them to cook for about three minutes before adding your prepared grits and stirring everything together until it reaches desired consistency. Serve your spicy Cajun shrimp and grits with some fresh parsley or green onion for garnish.

    This delicious comfort food has become an instant hit with my family! We love it so much we often make double batches so that we can enjoy it later in the week as well. The best part is that this meal comes together quickly and easily – perfect for busy days as a stay-at-home parent!

    Ingredients:
    • 1 pound medium wild-caught shrimp (peeled & deveined)
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
    • 2 teaspoons paprika
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
    • 1 teaspoon oregano
    • 1 teaspoon thyme
    • ½ teaspoon black pepper
    • 2 tablespoons butter
    • 2 cups water
    • 1 cup quick-cooking grits
    • ¾ cup milk
    • ½ cup grated cheese (preferably sharp cheddar)
    • Salt & freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
    • Fresh parsley or green onion (for garnish)

    Shrimp and Tomato Casserole: A Recipe for Stay-At-Home Parents

    As stay-at-home parents, we often struggle to find new recipes that are tasty, easy to make, and affordable. One of our favorite dishes is Shrimp and Tomato Casserole. It’s an easy meal that takes less than an hour to make and is sure to please everyone in the family.

    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 1 small onion, diced
    • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
    • 1 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
    • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
    • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
    • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
    • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
    • 2 cups diced tomatoes
    • 2 cups cooked white rice
    • 2 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley leaves
    • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
    • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

    Instructions:

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with olive oil.
    2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add shrimp and cook for 3 minutes, until shrimp is pink and cooked through. Season with oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
    3. Add tomatoes to the skillet and cook for 5 minutes more. Stir in cooked rice and parsley until thoroughly combined. Pour into the prepared baking dish. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
    4. Bake for 25 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve hot. Enjoy!

    We love this dish because it’s quick and easy but still full of flavor! Plus it’s a great way to use up any leftover rice you may have in the fridge – just use it instead of cooking fresh rice for this recipe! We also like that it’s a balanced meal – with protein from the shrimp, carbs from the rice, healthy fats from the olive oil, and vitamins from the tomatoes – all in one dish!

    When we first created this recipe for our family many years ago when our kids were much younger (and pickier!), we had to get creative in order to make sure they would eat something healthy but still enjoy it too! We came up with this delicious Shrimp and Tomato Casserole recipe and it quickly became one of our family favorites! Our kids still ask for it whenever they come home for a visit – no matter how old they are now!
