Beef and Noodles: A Hearty and Satisfying Meal As a stay-at-home parent, I know how difficult it can be to come up with meal ideas that are both easy to make and delicious. That’s why I’m excited to share this beef and noodle recipe – it’s fast, easy, and absolutely delicious. Plus, it’s a great way to use up those leftover cuts of meat you’ve been saving in the freezer. With just a few simple ingredients, you can whip up a hearty and comforting meal that your whole family will love. The story of how I came across this beef and noodle recipe is almost as good as the meal itself. My grandmother used to make this for my family when I was growing up, but it was never written down anywhere. Years later, my dad found an old recipe book with my grandmother’s handwriting on the cover. Inside, he discovered her recipe for beef and noodles – which she had obviously jotted down during one of our family dinners all those years ago. Now it’s become one of our favorite meals to make when we want something comforting and delicious. To make this beef and noodle recipe, you will need: • 1 pound of ground beef • 2 tablespoons of butter • 1 onion, chopped • 2 cloves of garlic, minced • 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning • 1 teaspoon of salt • ½ teaspoon of black pepper • 2 cups of beef broth • 8 ounces of wide egg noodles • 1 cup of frozen peas • ¼ cup of grated Parmesan cheese Let’s start by cooking the beef. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef and cook until it’s browned. Once it’s cooked through, remove the beef from the skillet and set aside on a plate. Now reduce the heat to medium-low and add the butter to the skillet. Once it has melted, add in the onion and garlic and cook until they are softened (about 5 minutes). Add in the Italian seasoning, salt and pepper and cook for another minute or so until fragrant. Next, add in the beef broth to the skillet and bring it to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, add in the egg noodles and reduce the heat to medium-low so that everything simmers for about 8 minutes or until the noodles are cooked through. Finally, add in your cooked ground beef along with the peas and Parmesan cheese. Stir everything together until combined then turn off the heat. Serve your beef and noodles hot with a sprinkle of additional Parmesan cheese if desired! This hearty beef and noodle dish is sure to be a hit with your family! It’s full of flavor thanks to the Italian seasoning as well as being packed with protein from both the ground beef and Parmesan cheese – making it an incredibly satisfying meal. Plus, you can easily switch up this dish by adding different vegetables or even switching out ground turkey or chicken instead of beef if you prefer!
