Shrimp and Pasta in Creamy Alfredo Sauce There’s something magical about the combination of shrimp and pasta, especially when they’re combined with a creamy alfredo sauce. This classic Italian dish is both comforting and delicious, and can be prepared in just minutes. Plus, since it’s made with fresh ingredients, it’s a great way to get the most out of your grocery budget. Here’s how to make this quick and easy shrimp and pasta in creamy alfredo sauce. Ingredients: -1 lb of fettuccine noodles -2 tablespoons of butter -2 cloves of garlic, minced -3 tablespoons of all-purpose flour -1 cup of chicken broth -1 cup of heavy cream -1/2 cup of grated parmesan cheese -1/2 teaspoon of ground nutmeg -Salt and pepper to taste -1 lb of peeled and deveined shrimp -2 tablespoons of olive oil -1 tablespoon of chopped parsley for garnish (optional) Instructions: 1. Begin by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, add the fettuccine noodles and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente. Drain the noodles and set aside. 2. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Sprinkle in the flour and whisk until it forms a paste. Gradually add the chicken broth, whisking constantly until it comes to a simmer. Let it simmer for 2 minutes before adding the cream and parmesan cheese. Continue to whisk until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes. Season with nutmeg, salt, and pepper to taste. Turn off heat but keep warm while you cook the shrimp. 3. Heat the olive oil in a separate skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp and sauté for 2 minutes per side or until they turn pink and are cooked through. Remove from heat when done cooking. 4. To assemble, add cooked fettuccine noodles into the skillet with the creamy alfredo sauce and toss to combine everything together evenly. Add cooked shrimp into the skillet as well and toss everything together one last time before serving warm with chopped parsley on top (optional). Enjoy!
