Recently, I decided to take a classic favorite and add a unique twist— beef tacos! Not only are beef tacos an easy dish to make but they can also be made to suit any taste. To make our beef tacos, you’ll need the following ingredients: Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef 1 packet taco seasoning mix 1/2 cup of water 8-10 soft taco shells Shredded lettuce Shredded cheese of your choice Any additional toppings you’d like (salsa, sour cream, jalapenos, etc.) Instructions: 1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until it is no longer pink. Drain off any excess fat. 2. Stir in the taco seasoning mix and water. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer. Cook for 5-7 minutes or until the mixture has thickened. 3. Heat the taco shells according to package directions. 4. To assemble the tacos, place some of the cooked beef mixture into each taco shell. Top with shredded lettuce, cheese and any other desired toppings. Serve immediately and enjoy! As I was making these delicious beef tacos for our family dinner, I found myself reflecting on all the times my own mom had made them when I was growing up. I remembered rushing home from school so I could get in on the taco madness – my siblings and I would stand around her as she prepared them, eagerly awaiting our turn to dig in!
