You will need: 1 block of firm or extra-firm tofu, 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of grated or minced ginger, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and ½ teaspoon of pepper. Once you have all your ingredients gathered in one place, the next step is to drain the tofu and pat it dry with a paper towel. This will help ensure that it cooks evenly when placed in the pan. After patting the tofu dry, cut it into cubes and place them in a large bowl. Then add the oil, soy sauce, ginger, garlic powder, and pepper. Toss everything together until the tofu cubes are evenly coated with the marinade. Next, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the skillet is hot enough, add the tofu cubes to the pan and let them cook for about 5 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and crispy.
