Ingredients: 1 pound ground beef 2 tablespoons olive oil 2 onions, diced 5 cloves garlic, minced 2 cups beef broth 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes with juice 1/2 cup red wine 3 tablespoons tomato paste 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano 1 bay leaf 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt Freshly ground black pepper 2 tablespoons cornstarch 2 tablespoons cold water Instructions: 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. In a large oven-proof pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until it’s no longer pink. Remove from the pan and set aside. 2. Heat the olive oil in the same pot over medium heat and add the onions and garlic. Cook until the onions are softened, about 5 minutes. 3. Return the beef back to the pot and add the beef broth, diced tomatoes with juice, red wine, tomato paste, thyme, oregano, bay leaf, salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes. 4. In a small bowl whisk together the cornstarch and cold water until dissolved then add it to the beef mixture and stir until thickened slightly (about 2 minutes). 5.
